Urdu proverbs in roman Urdu with brief explanation

A proverb is a sententious sentence and describes a basic rule of conduct may also be known as a maxim.

01 - Andha kya chahay dho aankhein ; A wish coming true
02- Chori ka maal mori may; Money earned the wrong way will be taken away, would be lost
03- Chota moonh aur badi baat; To talk big without having a big position
04- Jitne moonh utni baatain; More mouths will have more talks
05- Behti nadhi(river) may haath dona; To use available opportunity
06- Maan na maan mai tera mehmaan; Getting involved without having
07- Door ke dhol suhane hote hai; The grass is always greener on the other side
08- Chor ki daadi may tinka; One is afraid of his/her crime
09- Haath kangan ko aarsi kya; Evidence does not need proof
10- Dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghaat ka; A person try to be on two sides goes nowhere
11- Jaisi karni waisi bharni; As you sow so shall you reap
12- Angoor khatte hai; . Out of reach is not good
13- Bandar kya jaane addhrak ka swad; Casting pearls before swine
14- Daal may kaala; More to it than meets the eye
15- Naach na jane aagan teyda; A poor worker blames his tools
